“When I’m reading, I’m neither a boy, nor a girl. I’m only a reader.” This was said because a fifth grade girl, upon seeing the book with a girl faerie depicted on the cover I was giving to this boy, remarked, “But he is a BOY!” (meaning, he would not read a Girl Book!)
